Tahun Kedua Menyambut Ramadhan di Bumi Brisbane @ 12:49 AM

Salam semua..

Semalam, 22 Ogos 2009 bersamaan 1 Ramadhan 1430H, bumi Brisbane menyambut ketibaan bulan yang penuh suci, Ramadhan Al-Mubarak. Puasa di negara orang ni sejujurnya tidaklah se'meriah' berpuasa di Malaysia. Yalah, serba-serbi ala kadar sahaja. Bazaar Ramadhan tu mungkin ada, tapi yang berniaga hanyalah beberapa orang. Tambahan pula, tidaklah begitu banyak pilihan yang ada. Apapun, terima kasih kepada pihak Persatuan Pelajar Malaysia Queensland (PPMQ) yang bersungguh2 menganjurkan bazaar ini. Sambutannya begitu memberansangkan! Saya pun pada mulanya ada hati juga nak cuba2 berniaga..hehe. Tapi susah pula rasanya nk mengangkut meja ke tempat bazaar tu sebab..yela, takde kereta kan..sob..sob..
Takpelah..mungking lain kali saja. Cukuplah dulu entry untuk kali ini. Lain kali kita sambung cerita. :)

So I Guess I Would Write It Here @ 7:36 AM

So I guess I would write it here.
It might sound weird, but if you read it you'll understand.
You probably won't. But in case you do, you'll know.
That when I wake up every morning, I'll turn around and see if the cat's in the room.
It'll probably meows a bit asking if its time for breakfast, but I'll take it as a Good Morning.

I'd go to your room, and I'll watch you as you sleep.
And if you seems like waking up I'll call your name.
Just to see if you would answer.
You probably won't and went back to sleep.
So I'll probably leave you alone and turn on the laptop.

I'll browse the net and play some games,
I'd open your Facebook and see what you've been up to,
I'll read your comments on other people's wall,
Not on mine though, cuz I'm always here.
I'll see your pictures and perhaps leave some comments too,
So you'll know I'd seen them.

When I got bored and you finally woke up,
I thought its time for a little chat,
Or some going-out-together,
But then it's time for tennis.

I'd tell you to come back early and you'll say yes.
So I thought I'd wait.
I'll just play some more games and browse the net for a bit longer.
If you still hasn't come home I'll just play with the cat.
Or maybe take it outside for a while.

Then when its dark I'll give you a call,
Just to see if you remember to come home early.
You'll tell me you went to play some football as well.
And you dropped by some friends' house for a chat and some snack.
I'll just say OK and cook dinner.

When you're finally home you'll be tired so I'd let you sleep.
I'd tell you I'll wake you up when dinner is ready.
I still want to talk and tell you stories.
But I guess you wouldn't listen much anyway.
Cuz you'd turn on the TV and watch some footy.

I'll wait in my room just to see if you'd come looking for me.
You probably won't, so I'd go to your room and sit on your bed.
I'd look at you and wait if you would turn around.
If you do I'll make funny faces just to hear you laugh.
But I guess you'd be busy with eBay.
So I'd chase the cat and run around the house.

When it's bedtime you'll finally come looking for me.
You'll probably ask me to get some water.
I'll get it for you and sit next to you.
And start telling you the stories I wanted to tell since morning.
But you'll probably fall asleep even before I began.
So I guess I would write it here.

Writing Away... @ 4:14 AM

Tak tahu nak tulis apa sebenarnya..tapi maybe as I'm writing I'll find something to talk about.

Okay. First, lets talk about what's currently on my mind. Well, MASA DEPAN. Memang tak ada seorang pun yang pasti what it will look like. Mungkin hari ini seseorang tu hanya biasa2..tapi siapa tahu that same person has a great, beautiful future. I've been thinking a lot actually about MASA DEPAN. I have plans (everyone does) but will it become reality..that I can't say for sure. After all, Allah is the only one who can decide that. But still, we have to have plans. Allah will not help people who doesn't help themselves. Of course, there is this thing we call LUCK, but still luck doesn't offer much chances anyway. I'm sorry I'm writing in English. I find it easier to express myself this way.

What will I become in the future? Most certainly a teacher. An English teacher in a primary school in some part of Malaysia. But will I be a good teacher - the one that inspires. I don't know. None of us know. Will I want to stay in the proffession? I'm not sure as well. After all, I've always wanted something more in life. More than just a teacher. Wait, JUST a teacher? Well, forgive me. The profession is not that bad..it's mostly the pay I'm talking about. I, being human, have always wanted more.

As a kid, I dreamt of many things. Great things. Doctors, biotechnologist, film director, astrologist, author of bestselling books. Little that I knew all those things doesn't mean a thing. In the end it's doing what you love. Something you can look back with a smile at the end of your life. Something that can give you a sense of satisfaction.

My father. I can see that from his talks that he had always wanted me to become more than just a primary school teacher. In a conversation we had early this year I mentioned about getting a Master degree, and he quickly said "Of course". He also said about me becoming a lecturer. Yeah, maybe. I do want to get a Master. And a PhD one day. InsyaAllah. But I also want to do something else. To become something else: A photographer.

That being said, I wanna do a Degree in Photography. But unless I become a full-time photographer, photography doesn't really offer me much income. Unless, of course, I'm damn good and well-known. But that would surely take time. I will need to build up my portfolio from scratch.

Whatever.

Kerja! @ 1:33 AM

Saya pun xtau sekarang saya ada berapa kerja..huhu. Ok, jom kira!

1. Saya keja sebagai Childcare Assistant kat ABC Childcares. Tapi saya dah lama xdapat shift. Last time dapat pun saya terpaksa decline sebab saya dah accept keja lain. So, keja ni dah macam samar2..huhu.
2. Saya keja babysitter ngan satu family India kat Taringa. OK la setakat ni saya dijanjikan keja 2 hari seminggu (Rabu dan Jumaat). Saya pun suka family tu sebab diorg pun suka saya! :D
3. Saya keja Tutor untuk budak Year 8. Tapi keja ni dah ditamatkan perkhidmatan pagi tadi..huhu. Sebab budak yg saya tutor tu dah join totoring program kat skolah dia..huhu
4. Saya keja cleaner ngan Sherry's Cleaning Services. Keja ni on-call saja..tapi saya suka keja ni sebab senang dan best.
5. Saya jaga kucing (cat minder) org kat rumah. Haha. Saya paling suka keja ni sebab saya suka kucing. :D
6. Saya jadi photographer. Tapi keja ni kadang2 je..tapi saya suka sebab saya memang suka amek gambar. Apatah lagi bila dibayar untuk mengambil gambar..hehe.
7. Saya keja cleaner kat umah orah French kat Herston once a week for 2-3 hrs.
8. Saya sedang negotiate utk dapatkan keja cleaner kat satu umah kat Everton Hills. Tapi keja ni just fortnightly. So saya macam malas sket..huhu.

So, saya ada 8 keja tolak 1 sama dengan 7..hoho

Sem baru bermula! @ 12:56 AM

Hello hello!!!

Apa khabar semua? Sorila saya dah lama sangat tak update blog ni (tiba2 jadi terlalu sibuk dah malas..hehe). Okla, ada beberapa cerita yg nk dikongsi bersama ni (excited plak kan..).

Firstly, saya baru je start Semester 2 beberapa hari yg lalu. Sem ni saya dibenarkan memilih 2 subjek elektif. Tapi saya macam tak berapa excited sgt dah nk pilih-memilih ni..huhu. So saya xtau nak pilih subjek apa. Mula2 saya pilih subjek Excursion in Mathematical Reasoning dan ICT and the Young Child. Tapi beberapa hari sebelum kelas bermula saya tiba2 tukar subjek Maths tu dengan subjek Teaching English As An Additional Language. The reason: eTems sudah dimansuhkan di Malaysia, so English teachers won't be teaching Science & Maths anymore. So saya macam malas plak nak amek Maths. Pastu tiba2 lagi saya tukar lagi subjek T.E.A.A.A.L. tu ngan subjek Becoming A Second Language User. Sebabnya, saya nak freekan hari Selasa supaya saya hanya ada kelas 2 hari seminggu (Isnin dan Khamis..hehe). Tapi it turns out that subjek "Becoming...." tu byk keja la pulak..huhu. First week saja dah dapat keja. Kena baca byk gila (exagerate sket) reading n wat 300-350 words summary yg hanya 5% weightage. So saya drop subjek tu...dan dah xtau nk amek subjek apa. Ada la beberapa choices:

1. Foundation in Film and TV Production
Pros

• Saya macam minat gak nk amek subjek ni..sebab saya teringin nk belajar basic film making..hehe.
• Subjek ni nampak macam best..sebab kena wat project suma.
• Just basic things..so saya rasa saya bleh bawak kot.
• Ariff pun nak amek kalo saya amek, so x la sorang2 amek subjek ni..huhu

Cons

• Xde seniors penah amek...so xtau susah ke camne..
• Banyak sangat kelas..sampai 5 jam seminggu!
• Banyak keja yg perlukan kesabaran..huhu
• Kelas hari Selasa..so x tercapai la niat nk kosongkan hari Selasa tu.

2. Photomedia and Creative Practice
Pros

• Saya memang suka Photography!
• Assessments dia lebih kurang ngan subject Photomedia and Artistic Practice yg saya amek tahun lepas...so basically, say macam confident bleh score. hehe.
• Kelas hari Isnin.
• Xde budak Msia penah amek..so macam best plak jadi pioneer :p

Cons

• Lecture die plak clash ngan kelas Jan :(

So akhirnya, saya re-enroll in Excursion in Mathematical Reasoning.
Reason: I have a good feeling about this. Mana tau 5 tahun lagi kerajaan nk wat balik eTems ke..
And when that happens, I'll be ready :p
All those Creative Industries
subjects (even though I'm so very interested in them), they have little use for my teaching career. And I already plan to do a degree in Photography anyway...so I guess I'll wait for the right time. Harapan saya: This sem memang kena struggle betul2...nak dapatkan the best result ever! (semangat pulak kan..lol)

Saya sangat kebosanan..

Bukannya xdak assignment nak buat, tapi satu2nya assignment yang tinggal ialah assignment Photomedia. So, memendangkan sekarang ni dah pukul 1.30 pagi..memang payah la nak amek gambaq apa2..huhu. So, akibat keterbosanan yang melampau, saya pun menulis blog ini tanpa sebarang tujuan.

Yea!! Esok nak pi tengok kucing!! Ok, jom kita cerita pasal kucing. Petang tadi saya ushar2 kucing kat internet..dalam banyak2 kucing, kucing Ragdoll dan Ragamuffin paling comel dan fluffy. Nampak macam teddy bear ja! Tapi mahal la..Ragdoll kittens paling murah pun AU$450 sekor.
Takpa la, esok saya nak beli kucing jugak! Nak kucing yang paling comel skali..hehe. Meow!
